I believe that God is the absolute most important thing in existence; He is the first and best of all. And is deserving of all of our love. In Him is fullness of joy. Much of my thoughts and writings on this blog are a way for me to think through and struggle with certain spiritual truths where I may continue to fail, or where I see the church as failing. I believe that if Jesus is central in our lives, we will live with love and compassion to the lost and hurting and we will love them like Jesus loved us.
Second only to Him is my family. I could do without fun or friends or a job or a house or any other thing that most other people see as necessities, but I could not live without my family. I would be happy enough being a boring, friendless, unemployed, house-less (yes I know the term is homeless, but I don’t believe that a house always equals a home), man as long as I got to be daddy to my kids and husband to my wife.
My beatiful wife Alina is for me more than she knows. Her hard work (both at work and at home) often go thankless, but I appreciate them always.
We have one daughter, Rachael, who like her mother is the thing that can make me both as happy and as perplexed as can be. There is no better feeling than coming home to a child running for you screaming “daddy”. Thank God for glimpses of heaven.
On December 16th, 2008 our second child was born. Isaiah Daniel Wright was a big boy at 10 lbs, 10 oz at his birth. He is one happy little kid, as long as he doesn’t have a dirty diaper (because then he gets angry, haha.)
Rachael is a good big sister (most of the time). She is very helpful with Isaiah and loves her little brother.
I love my family dearly, and I pray often to be a better husband or a better daddy, because often I fail. I yearn for Jesus to be the primary desire for me and my family and that we not just go through the motions and experience none of the joy that is in Him.
