Isaiah Daniel Wright was born this morning at 7:40am. He weighed a whopping 10lbs 10oz and is 22” long. He has very strong lungs, as proved by his strong vocal styling’s. Other than the fact that he is a boy (and a well-rounded boy at that), he appears to have more of Alina’s features than mine.
Alina was a champ during surgery, and totally preferred the c-section to the natural way that she had Rachael. She is doing well and doing her best to graduate from ice chips to Jell-O to solid foods without getting herself sick.
We have been very impressed with the staff at Centennial Medical Center in Frisco, TX. The anesthesiologist was great at prepping and setting expectations and making us feel at ease about the surgery and did a great job making her feel ok, or rather not feel anything at all. Her doctor really impressed me as well, because (whether correctly or not) I have always held the belief that obstetrician’s were not much more than pre-pediatrician baby catcher’s. But this doctor was actually the one who did Alina’s surgery, I was very impressed.
Interestingly enough, the nurse in the nursery was the plaintiff in the trial that I sat on a few weeks back. We, the jury, did not rule in her favor (or more accurately, did not end up ruling at all), but I recognized her instantly. If she recognized me she gave no indication and she was very professional and kind.
Check out the pictures from Isaiah’s birthday…
