The Great Flood

This past Saturday, we were expecting to have some of Dustin’s family over. So, of course what do I do? The day before I begin cleaning my house from top to bottom beginning at 7pm, and finally finishing a little after 1am. I was beat. So, the next morning I was upstairs just tidying up a little more, when I get a shout from my husband to bring down lots of towels. To my surprise (and I’m sure Dustin’s as well) Rachael had flooded our guest bathroom downstairs. How you say? Well the little sneak, while daddy and mommy were in other rooms, opened the bathroom door, stood on the toilet to reach over to the sink, pulled the plug up on the drain and turned the water on. Then she walked out of the bathroom and shut the door behind her, so you couldn’t hear the water running. Oh, the joy of having a child! :) I would say it was at least 45 minutes later that she ran and got daddy to tell him there was water on the floor in the bathroom. We had asked Rachael if she flooded the bathroom, and with a straight look on her face she said “nooo.” But, after the mess was cleaned up, i asked her again if she flooded the bathroom, then the real answer came out “Yes.” I’m soo looking forward to our water bill. :( But, hey, at least the flooding didn’t last for 40 days and 40 nights.

About Dustin Wright

I believe that God is the absolute most important thing in existence; He is the first and best of all. And is deserving of all of our love. In Him is fullness of joy. Much of my thoughts and writings on this blog are a way for me to think through and struggle with certain spiritual truths where I may continue to fail, or where I see the church as failing. I believe that if Jesus is central in our lives, we will live with love and compassion to the lost and hurting and we will love them like Jesus loved us.
