“Packing the Truck” x 3

This past weekend has been crazy, and I’m sure it has sure given a new meaning to Labor Day for everyone involved. When we started off the weekend, we had plans to move our stuff and my mom’s stuff, but that changed a little on saturday morning when Kris saw the oportunity to pack and load some of their stuff on the truck we rented as well.

The truck that we got was one of those “we pack it, they move it” companies. They dropped off a truck (28′ long, 8′ wide, 9′ high) for us to pack everything into. Thry dropped the truck off on Friday and will pick it up Tuesday or wednesday. We could use as much or as little space as we need, and only pay for the space we used, so since we had plenty of space we loaded three families worth of stuff onto the truck, which was cool because it all fit, but it took a LOT of strength and patience for all of us.

Anyway, I just wanted to say a thank you to Tim and Liz, David and Jessica, and Jeff for helping us out even though they had nothing to gain and where not moving themselves. I would also like to thank my wife, who probably worked as hard or harder than most of us and basically packed and cleaned our whole apartment by herself.

About Dustin Wright

I believe that God is the absolute most important thing in existence; He is the first and best of all. And is deserving of all of our love. In Him is fullness of joy. Much of my thoughts and writings on this blog are a way for me to think through and struggle with certain spiritual truths where I may continue to fail, or where I see the church as failing. I believe that if Jesus is central in our lives, we will live with love and compassion to the lost and hurting and we will love them like Jesus loved us.
