Missed My Wife, My Baby, My Plane

Man am I glad to be home (or at least my home for the next few weeks). This last week was the longest that Alina and I have been apart, and I missed her greatly, it is amazing how much you miss someone when they aren’t right there with you. I also missed Rachael; her smile when I return from work after a long day makes everything worth it.

And not only did I miss my family, but I missed my plane. I was about twenty minutes late for my check-in and they would not let me get on. I had four hours to think about how the next time I would be on time for my flight. That was a lesson I wish I would have learned a long time ago. Don’t get me wrong, the SkyLink train ride wasn’t bad, and neither were all of the restaurants, but the downed T-Mobile hotspot was a pain, and no matter how interesting an article you might be reading, four hours worth of it gets a little old when you’re missing so much else.

About Dustin Wright

I believe that God is the absolute most important thing in existence; He is the first and best of all. And is deserving of all of our love. In Him is fullness of joy. Much of my thoughts and writings on this blog are a way for me to think through and struggle with certain spiritual truths where I may continue to fail, or where I see the church as failing. I believe that if Jesus is central in our lives, we will live with love and compassion to the lost and hurting and we will love them like Jesus loved us.
